Chapter 23 - Arabella

Arabella smiled at Hunter, pretty proud of herself for being able to teach him something. He was always so much better than her at everything, so she felt pretty proud to be better than him at something. But as she looked at him, her eyes landed on his strong jaw and the muscles in his arms as she held onto the steering wheel. She was sitting so close to him, she could feel the heat coming off of his cheek. Arabella blushed and sat back in her seat, putting her feet up and holding her knees to her chest. When she looked at Hunter, when she was close to him, her heart skipped a couple beats.  Arabella felt something stir in her, something she hadn't felt in a long time. Excitement, longing...but this was Hunter. Arabella knew that he wasn't interested in her. He probably wasn't ever going to be interested in her. Arabella figured that Hunter was going to be with some smart, artistic girl who was as deep as the ocean. Not Arabella. She looked over at Hunter again and smiled. Seeing hunter with his new hair cut and his new shave was beyond great. He was starting to look like himself again.

Arabella looked around as he drove then looked back at him. She sighed "How is it that I just showed you how to drive and you can already drive decently? Is there nothing that I can do better than you?" she asked sarcastically and nudged him arm lightly.

"It's not all that different than riding a Pegasus" Hunter said quietly with a small shrug "I'm pretty good at that" Arabella let out a laugh and she leaned her head against the head rest on her seat.

"That's because you're good at everything, Hunter" Arabella said, raising an eyebrow "You kick ass at everything"

"There is plenty you're better than me at" Hunter told her, looking over at her briefly before tunring his eyes back to the road.

Arabella rolled her eyes "Like what?" she protested and folded her arms across her chest like an annoyed little kid.

"You have a major company Arabella" Hunter told her in his quiet voice "I think that's pretty great." Arabella looked at him and her face softened

"You're too nice to me, Hunter" Arabella said softly, but she dropped the topic and looked out the window. They drove for a little bit longer. Arabella didn't talk much, except to help him drive and give him a few tips. But she had put a CD in so it wasn't like it was totally quiet. She was singing along to Price Tag by Jessie J when she suddenly turned down the music and pointed to a turn off up the road a little bit

"Take a turn up here" Arabella said, sitting up in her seat. She was excited. They were so close to being at one of her favorite places in the world. Arabella was nearly bouncing up and down in her seat. She looked out the window with happy eyes as Hunter cautiously turned onto the dirt road. "Ohmygods, ohmygods, ohmygods" Arabella said in a super excited voice. She rolled down the window and the waves of the ocean could easily be heard. As they pulled into the driveway, Arabella talked Hunter though parking the car and when it came to a stop, she nearly threw herself out of it. She didn't even wait for Hunter, Arabella started running towards the house, her blond hair bouncing around behind her.

The house was a truly beautiful building. It was old and worn down but there was something special to it. It looked lived in. The house was very large and it was painted white. There was a wrap around fence and the shutters on the windows were painted blue. The best part about it was that it's backyard was basically the ocean. Also, the closest building was about 45 minutes away so they had tons of space to run around do whatever the hell they wanted. There was a spot for a camp fire and a picnic table.

Arabella ran onto the deck and opened the doors. It still smelled the same, it still looked the same and it almost felt the same. Without her grandpa coming to the door to give her a big bear hug, the place felt lonely. Arabella took a deep breath then looked back at Hunter who was unloading all of their stuff. There was a lot of stuff. Maybe Arabella shopped a little too much....

She decided that the nice thing to do, would probably be to help Hunter. Besides, her bikini was packed away and she needed to get her hands on it. Arabella started pulling out their things, setting it on the ground but as soon as she found her bag with her bikini, she grabbed it and was off, running towards the house again.

Maybe only two minutes passed before Arabella was already changed into a new bikini of hers. It was a simple string bikini but it had ruffles on it in pink, turquoise, purple and yellow. She walked towards Hunter who was carrying the last of the bags to the porch. Arabella pulled her hair up into a bun and put her hands on her hips, looking at him with a raised eyebrow "I am going to the water. If I don't see you in your swim trunks and with me in the water in five minutes, I'm going to come and get you" she warned him and giggling the whole time, she turned and ran until she got to the sand and she kept running until she hit the water with her arms in the air.
