Chapter 15 - Arabella

Arabella was standing in the middle of a storm. Wind and rain whipped her gold hair all over the place and nearly knocked her off her feet. The cold penetrated her skin and chilled her to the bone, the only thing covering her was a thin summer dress. But then she felt arms around her. Strong arms that held her grounded. She looked around and saw that he arms belonged to Hunter. He had his muscle back and his hair was short. He looked like how he used to look, when he was a hunter. With a smile, he leaned down to kiss her. But then his face changed and Chad was kissing her. His grip on her got tighter and tigher. It was starting to get painful "Ow..Chad, that hurts" Arabella mummbled but Chad just smirked at her, crushing her.

Arabella woke with a start, breathing heavy. The blanket was twisted around her legs and her teddy bear was on the floor in her bedroom. She turned to look outside the window and saw the early morning sun, streaming in. Arabella looked around her room for a moment, wondering how she had gotten there. Soon enough, she remembered the night before and how difficult it was to make Hunter stay with her. What if he had left? Nervously, she jumped out of bed and with bare feet, padded down the hallway to the living room. But her eyes landed on Hunter and she relaxed, letting out a little sigh of relief. Hunter was asleep on the couch, his chest rising and falling gently with each deep breath. Arabella smiled softly to herself then checked the time on the clock. 7:30am. Perfect.

"Hey, Hunter?" Arabella said softly, shaking his leg lightly "Are you alive in there sleeping beauty?" she teased him. Today would be a good day and she was going to make him smile. She was determined.

"Mmmm" Hunter moaned and Arabella knew that he was awake, kind of, and listening to her.

"I'm going to get a shower and get dressed then I have to go to work. You're more then welcome to come with me if you want, maybe I can find a job there for you to pay me back" Arabella told him "There's Fruit Loops and tea, if you want something to eat. That's about the only thing I have for breakfast food though" She said with a shrug and walked down the hall before he was awake enough to respond to her.

Arabella slipped into the bathroom, closing the door behind her. As she peeled off her clothes, her mind was spinning, thinking about her dream. Why would she dream of Hunter kissing her? She had never thought of him that way. So why was she thinking about it now? Besides, it's not like Hunter can do anything, he's a Hunter! She thought to herself. But wait, he isn't a hunter anymore. Anything could happen now that he wasn't a virgin for life and she wasn't with Brian. Her stomach twisted at the thought. Arabella stepped into the shower, letting the hot water loosed her tense muscles. Would she really be upset if something happened between her and Hunter? Arabella couldn't answer that. All she knew was that she was happy to have Hunter back in her life. She was so lonely before yesterday. Arabella didn't have friends and she rarely saw her family. Being around Hunter again was like the light at the end of the tunnel. She wasn't going to give it up that quickly. She stepped out of the shower, putting a towel around herself.

"There are some more men's clothing in my office! Take whatever fits! Just make sure it matches!" Arabella called to Hunter and closed her bedroom door. Quickly, she pulled on her clothes and dug out a matching pair of high heels. The dress that she pulled on was blue, the same color as her eyes. Arabella stopped on the way out of her room, studying herself in the mirror. A little frown slowly appeared on her face and she went to work on her hair. She dried it and with a sigh, walked out of her room to see that Hunter was already dressed and ready to go. She gave him a little smile

"Ready to go?" Arabella asked him, grabbing her purse and her keys. She looked at Hunter with a smile on her face. Hunter nodded, looking a little anxious. In the back of her mind, she wondered why he looked so anxious. Was it because of the whole..fashion thing? Or was it something to do with him paying her back.

"Yeah, I'm ready" Hunter said to her. Arabella grinned at him and walked past him, to walk out of her apartment. Once he was out, she locked the door

"Good, because I'm almost late" Arabella said with a small giggled. Together they walked out and Arabella hailed them a cab. The ride to her building was quick but silent. She hoped that Hunter would start to fell better and a little less guilty soon. She walked inside, waving at the security man and took the elevator up to the top floor. Arabella quickly put herself into work mode the moment they stepped off of the elevator and her assistant, Emily came running up to her with a hot latte in her hand. Arabella took it from her and took a sip

"Perfect, thank you. Call Miranda and tell her that the model she sent me for next month's cover is not what I am looking for and she is not going to work for us. Nobody less then a size 2 gets on my cover, understand? Anorexia is a disease and not a fashion trend. Then call Marc Jacobs and RSVP for his party but I want to be dropped off at 9:30 and picked up at 10:00 sharp. Then call the party planner and tell her that we're going to have to make the September party much more..glamorous, that issue and my staff deserve the best. Also, get a hold of the New York Fashion Week people and the Paris Fashion Week people. We'll be doing both this year so that means that we'll have to really step it up and make sure that everything is set up perfectly. I do not want any mistakes this year. Send Nigel to my office later today, I need to see the clothes he pulled out for Angelina's spread in the August issue" Arabella said to Emily, pretty much all in one breath. Emily rushed behind her, not even giving Hunter a second look as she tried to copy everything down that Arabella was saying

"There is a call for you on line one Ms Foster" A secretary, Anna, said to her "It's your father. He has some news about you grandfather"
